About the SMC
The Regional non-profit social organization “Center for Curative Pedagogics” (CCP) with the support of Sberbank’s charitable foundation ‘Contribution to the Future’: Scientific and Methodological Center (SMC)
In 2021, with the support of Sberbank’s charitable foundation ‘Contribution to the Future, work began on the creation of a Scientific and Methodological Center (SMC) at the CCP.
Mission
The aim of the SMC is to develop and adapt models and methods for supporting people with disabilities based on an evidence-based approach, to promote these methods and train specialists, as well as to conduct educational activities for a wide audience (educational programs, publication and distribution of specialized literature, work with public opinion).
The center will also become a platform for the formation of a professional community of specialists who provide modern assistance to people with disabilities and their families.
Partnerships
The project envisages the creation and development of regional and international partnerships for joint activities with other organizations specializing in expert and methodological developments, scientific and practical projects, and consulting on issues related to the support and assistance of people with disabilities and their families.
Public policy engagement
Together with regional partners, the Center promotes and supports legislative initiatives aimed at improving quality of life for children and adults with disabilities, engaging the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, and other agencies.
Vision 2030
By 2030, the SMC aims to become a nationally recognized center of expertise—an integrator and “single window” where any specialist, volunteer, or parent can obtain guidance. The Center will offer a seamless user journey to the right methods and knowledge, both offline and online, and will serve as a platform for a professional community of practitioners providing modern support to people with disabilities and their families.
